Dr Alan Lim
Principal Dentist / Practice Owner
Dentistry as we are all aware of has advanced at a phenomenal rate especially in the last few years. Dr Alan Lim enjoys being at the forefront of current knowledge, He enjoys dentistry more than when he first graduated 25yrs ago and is deeply involved in learning and evolving as a diagnostician and clinician.
One of his mentors Dr Bill Dickerson wrote
 “Do not let your talent get in the way of your success, be teachable”.
In order to provide for truly comprehensive dentistry, Dr Lim has chosen not to limit his scope of practice and treatment by specialising in a particular area by broadening his knowledge. He has embarked on a lifelong ongoing study in the many varied areas of dentistry and medicine. He feels that an overall broad understanding affords the patient the widest choice of options. To achieve this Dr Lim has been studying, learning from the best teachers in each specific area of dentistry for the last 25 years. The broad scope of his studies range from neuromuscular orthodontics to the latest techniques in advanced cosmetic dentistry. He believes to be truly successful in the field of advanced cosmetic dentistry a clinician should be truly competent in the fields of prosthodontic dentistry, orthodontics, implantology and treatment of complex TMD cases. These areas are all interlinked and each area can affect the long-term success of treatment.

As a result here at QV1 Dental we practice holistic dentistry. In addition to treating the all-important presenting concerns we pay attention to the effect teeth have on the whole of the body. Dr Lim is a general dentist and treats patients, as would a medical Physician.
Dr Eric Wang
Associate Dentist
Dr Wang graduated in 2007 from the prestigious University of Western Australia School of Dentistry. He has received awards from the Australian Dental Research Foundation and Colgate for research papers as well as earning the highest aggregate grade in Paediatric Dentistry as an undergraduate dental student. He completed an Oral Surgery externship at the world premier Washington University School of Dentistry during his internship.
Upon graduation, he was recognised for excelling in Paediatric Dentistry both academically and clinically and thus was immediately invited back to become a Paediatric clinical tutor for dental students, one of the youngest clinicians to receive this honour. Coming from a line of educators, his father a professor and his mother a teacher, Dr Wang greatly values education and as a tribute he has maintained his teaching position to this day. He has often been quoted for saying,
“Technology is forever changing and improving. It is my responsibility as a clinician to consider these changes with an open mind. Acknowledging what you don’t know is the very first step. I will never know everything but I will spend the rest of my life in the pursuit of knowledge. I owe it to my patients to do this. I only want the very best in life and this attitude flows through into the dentistry, which I deliver for my patients. I treat each patient as if they were my own family.”
As a result, Dr Wang has spent a great deal of time and resources completing a long list of courses at various prestigious institutes including the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. The countless hours he has undertaken pursuing continuing education far exceed the minimum requirements many times over. In addition, Dr Wang has given up much of his personal time to co-consult and understudy with world-class dental surgeons in order to tap into their knowledge and experience and bring it to his patients.
Apart from his passion for dentistry, Dr Wang also enjoys working out at the gym. He is a great believer in hard work paying off and there is no place faster where you can see this happen. But he also knows how to have fun and enjoys photography, cycling, basketball, marksmanship, motorsport and snowboarding, all passions which he takes very seriously!

Trish Cheetham
Practice Manager
Having completed a Diploma in Practice Management in 2009 Trish is able to provide information relating to a wide range of patient needs. Prior to joining QV1 Dental, Trish spent 3 years working in a Podiatry practice in Newcastle, NSW. It was on the other side of Australia that her passion for health care began. The experience Trish gained in this field developed her confidence and ability to manage a team of practitioners and support staff.
Trish has been managing QV1 Dental for 2 years and has invaluable knowledge of all aspects of the practice. She is responsible for handling patient enquires and developing the team to provide excellence in patient care.
